Our Heritage

Eutychios Kalogerakis (Mr. K) was an unremitting model of service to others.  He first visited Uganda in 2002 and was distressed at the destitute condition of many of the children.  Upon returning to the United States, he endeavored to spread the word to others about what suffering he had seen and organize efforts to provide relief.  His efforts and persistence led him to found Worldwide Friends of Ugandan Orphans in 2017.  Since 2002, he visited Uganda over 40 times and helped coordinate relief for four orphanages and many other destitute children.  His example is one of combining creativity, perseverance, and selfless love to gather and provide support and relief for children in need.

Eutychios reposed unexpectedly on November 30, 2020 while visiting orphans in Uganda.  As of 2025, a clinic is in development in his honor to serve a local community in Matugga, Uganda.
